According to the rules of the Republic of Turkey, citizens from other countries can cross the territory of the state by car with foreign license plates. A car legally crossing the border can be of any year of manufacture, at this point there are no restrictions in Turkish law.
A few years ago, a foreign car could stay in the Eastern state for no more than 360 days if the owner of the vehicle was a citizen of retirement age.
For the rest of the category of citizens, this period was 180 days. In accordance with the amendments to the rules for importing cars, the time spent by the vehicle in Turkey is 730 days. But, there are the following restrictions — when entering the country, it is necessary that the owner of the car is on the territory of the state in a total of 185 days, over the past year.
