Everyone dreams of being successful and rich. And you can often hear that people dream of becoming not just rich, but immediately billionaires. The other day I read an article by a psychologist about how the “thinking of a successful person” is formed and whether the “brain of a billionaire” differs from an ordinary person. I found this topic interesting, especially in the context of educating future generations. After all, we all wish our children the best, and what could be better than success in business? I invite you to reflect on this with me.
What makes a successful businessman out of a person: brains or upbringing?
Why do some manage to create huge capitals from scratch, while others do not? Can anyone become a billionaire? Probably not, it can’t. If not, why is the problem in genetics, upbringing, luck, or maybe all at once? Thinking about this, I singled out two main points for myself.
If we talk about real billionaires – the richest people on the planet, of which there are not so many, then, in my opinion, providence and higher powers are more important here. It is impossible to plan your becoming a billionaire, because there are too many factors. Such a destiny must be inscribed on a person from the outside. This will be facilitated by both luck and genetics – a predisposition to entrepreneurship and business acumen.
I can’t say where this path to success is inscribed – in the brain or in the DNA itself, but it seems to me that an ordinary person will not be able to become a billionaire. The whole life of such people develops in such a way that it leads them to wealth and cherished billions. This process usually begins in childhood, when a person is not even fully aware of himself and his capabilities – he simply moves according to instincts. This is the first thing.
Secondly, not everyone can become one of the richest moneybags on the planet, however, I am sure everyone can become rich and successful. Let not a billionaire, but a “modest” multimillionaire for sure. After all, in order to live comfortably and enjoy life, it is not necessary to have billions. Personally, less capital is enough for me to be happy, although I am sure that my main achievements in business are still ahead and the current success is just a run-up before a new breakthrough.
Hundreds and thousands of people around the world successfully create their own business and increase capital, achieving tremendous progress from scratch. I say this from personal experience: when my husband and I first came from Kazakhstan to Turkey more than 20 years ago, having lost all our money and starting everything almost from the beginning, it was very difficult. But our success and the success of other entrepreneurs comes through self-education, broadening our horizons, hard work and perseverance.
What is more important here is not even what is needed for success, but what must be avoided by all means. For me, laziness is at the top of this list of vices that block success. This is the biggest and most terrible vice of a person, because it does not allow to develop, constantly pushes back. And it interferes in any field, but especially in business, where real success comes through work.
Also, fears and complexes can stand in the way of success. Especially those that come from childhood. This is self-doubt, and fear of failure, and much more. However, fears can be overcome if a person has the will to change and self-development, but natural laziness is almost impossible to overcome.
I believe that laziness is also genetics, it is given by nature. A person by an effort of will can only reduce its harmful effect, but not get rid of it completely. A brain affected by laziness will always look for excuses to do nothing, it will constantly tell itself that a person can do nothing, that he is not capable of anything, that it will be hard and difficult, and therefore it is better to quit everything without even starting. For such a person, someone else is always to blame, but not him. You have probably met such people in your life.
There is a black streak in life and bad luck when you work hard, but nothing comes of it. However, if you do not stop on your way despite all the challenges, then even the blackest stripe will come white – but only if a person struggles with laziness and apathy, continues to work and look for a solution to his problems. A decent income will always find a hardworking person.
Many people want comfort and luxury, and money is considered a symbol of success. But not everyone is ready to sacrifice effort and time for the sake of the result. And having received a certain level of comfort, even a small one, they stop altogether, not realizing that this was only an intermediate stage. When they stop, they give up their dreams and goals in life – all because of laziness.
If you dream of living by the sea in your own villa and are working on it, then sooner or later you will find yourself there. If you are constantly knocking on the door, then it will definitely open with amazing gifts. The main thing is never to stop. This is not easy, because motivation is very important here, forcing you to strive for success, which we will talk about later.
How to Succeed: Personal Experience
How to succeed and become a successful businessman? It is necessary to develop certain skills in yourself, from an early age to literally absorb versatile information and develop useful skills. The child’s parents must show their best qualities and then the baby will grow into a holistic person who will be able to step over any fears and even laziness.
However, parents should not raise a “nerd” or “nerd”. Such children really spend a lot of time studying and know a lot, but they get it to the detriment of communication with peers and socialization. For success in life, social skills, the ability to communicate and find a common language with any person, the ability to work in a group and leadership skills are very important. The child will receive all this only by being in society and receiving the right instructions from teachers and, especially, parents.
Children need to develop the main trait of a successful entrepreneur – strategic thinking and analysis. It is necessary to teach the child from childhood to calculate the situation 4 or 5 steps in advance. Business is like chess, so I advise all parents to instill interest in chess and other strategic games.
Parents also need to understand that we live in a society. It is thanks to society that success is achieved. It is necessary to develop the child’s business communication skills. He must be able to defend his point of view, operate with arguments, prove the causal relationship, be ready for debate. And in order to freely operate with arguments in any dispute, you need to have extensive knowledge – that is, you need to constantly learn and expand your horizons. This is how the installation for success is laid.
Everything comes from childhood, both good and bad. The task of each parent and teacher is to instill in the child the best and reduce the influence of the worst traits. This helps to determine the guidelines and find your true path in life, to find “your” people who will help, prompt, direct. When a person is looking for knowledge and experience, when he is open to everything new, then such useful people necessarily appear on his way. With them come new ideas and new topics that lead to new heights.
Real success without human participation is impossible, because it comes only with recognition in society – if no one knows about your achievements except you, if there is no one to share success with, then this success is virtual and unreal. At the same time, a person should not depend on society in his conclusions and desires – it is important to be a self-sufficient person who lives and develops next to others, but still chooses his own special path.
Speaking of personal qualities. Nowadays, you can often hear “be yourself”, “you are unique”, etc., but this does not hide the development of personality, but the stimulation of selfishness in a child. Teenagers in games and on the Web are instilled with the idea that they do not owe anything to anyone, that it is “cool”.
I am convinced that following only one’s desires is a false path that leads to loneliness and disappointment in life. The basis of society is mutual assistance – only together with like-minded people can you reach heights. Understanding these social mechanisms and personal growth in society, in an atmosphere of respect and support is the key to success for both the child and the adult.
Process or result?
Last but not least, I would call the ability to appreciate every moment in our lives. Many are so result-oriented, so hungry for money, that they forget about everything else. In my opinion, the process is no less important than the outcome. I do it myself and teach it to my children.
When the process that leads you to the result gives joy and pleasure from work, then motivation becomes much stronger. By enjoying the process and sharing this path with friends and reliable partners, it will be much easier to achieve success, and the results will be higher. This is true for every area of our life – business, family, professional, etc. A person should burn with his dream and get high from the process.
If a person aims at money as the only result, and the path and environment are disgusting to him, then he will miss the most important thing in life and in business – the joy and excitement of the successful development of his business, as well as the recognition of colleagues and friends. Money earned without joy, even very large, will not bring real happiness, will not give spiritual development. Money is only a tool and an indicator of success, but not an end in itself. If the balance is disturbed here, then such success will not be real, it will quickly come to naught.
I was recently asked what I would choose – money or an interesting job. I didn’t think for a second and chose the latter. Because the process of making money attracts me more than “mastering” it. Every day I plunge headlong into work with great pleasure. With the same pleasure I meet clients and partners. I find positive moments in every moment of my life. Only in this way will true success come. Otherwise, there is a risk of getting an expensive and bright, but still empty wrapper.
Therefore, it is so important to determine the interests and desires as early as possible. Parents should do everything to help the child understand himself and the path that will give him joy, success and social recognition in the future. The younger the children, the more difficult it is to determine their priorities, which means that it is necessary to provide access to the best comprehensive education so that the child receives a strong foundation of knowledge and skills to move in any direction.

Summing up, I propose to answer the questions from the beginning of the article. Why do some manage to create huge capitals from scratch, while others do not? Because some start their journey to success earlier than others. Because they have the mentality of a successful person, they have knowledge, skills and close people nearby – all this will give success in the future.
Can anyone become a billionaire? No, it can’t. But everyone doesn’t have to be a billionaire. After all, real happiness is not only the result in the form of capital, but also the process of achieving it. The feeling when you have overcome all the problems together with your friends and achieved real success and public recognition is simply indescribable! For the sake of this, you need to do business – if this business becomes a favorite, then the money itself will find you.
