Development of Turkey’s Anatolia Region

The project of the Anatolia region was created with the aim of significantly increasing the level of income, quality of living, eliminating interregional differences, and achieving the development of the Turkish economy as a whole.
Development of agriculture in Turkey
One of the main sectors of the economy of Turkey is agriculture. In terms of development, the Eastern country is considered an agrarian-industrial state. The basis of agriculture in Turkey is crop production, which gives about 2/3 of the production.
The Republic of Turkey belongs to the group of developing countries and acts as an exporter of extractive industries and agricultural products: leather goods, fabrics, wheat, tobacco, cotton, chromite ore, dried fruits, nuts. At the next stage, it is planned to build the main canals in order to deliver the water supply to the irrigation zones. After that, irrigation systems will be distributed over the fields. According to current data statistics, it follows that the level of exports from the Anatolia region increased from 3.1% to 5.2%.
